microsoft critical pack downloads

  sicon67 12:30 20 Feb 04

I always do my critical updates and service pack checks with microsoft. However, one of the packs just wont download on my computer. I select it after it highlights the fact I need it, I press install and it starts to download, then three seconds later the little green line runs to the end as if it has downloaded and then I get the red ink warning that the down grade has failed and to try again.

It's been like this for the past few days now. Any idea what could be going wrong and how I could correct it?

It probably has downloaded to your hard drive, but not installed itself. Try looking in the WUtemp folder in the root drive. If its there, double cliccking will install it, if that doesn't work delete it and download it again.
