My friend has a new machine with Microsoft 7 Home Premium. He cannot get his Canon Canoscan Lide 100 scanner working. Presumably a driver problem, any advice would be very welcome.

canon support should have a driver, I had to get rid of a old scanner as there were no drivers for it on vista or windows 7.

I purchased the same scanner very recently, also have Windows 7 Home Premium. It came with a CD for the drivers and when installed, works fine. Does your friend not have the CD? As citadel mentioned, try the canon support site.

Win7 32 & 64-bit drivers are available via MAJ's link - driver version 14.0.3.

citadel, you could have tried the XP drivers via Compatibility Mode. It does work sometimes. G
