Hi ive just re-installed XP and cant remember the settings i had to make my mic work with Xfire. Im using a Cmedia sounds card with the software installed but the only way i can get the mic to work is by having either windows sound record open or msn sound test, if these are open it will work with Xfire but not without. Does anybody know what i have to change to make it work without the programs open.

Thanks alot
Tom

thats the thing the voice works fine when i have msn or sound recorder open but i dont want to have to have them open just to use my mic so its not a problem with xfire itself i just dont know what settings need to be changed to fix it
