MFT Volume Bitmap error

I have a problem on XP Pro. I run chkdsk from the command line, and it tells me that there is a problem with the Volume Bitmap on my system drive. So I run the command with the /F switch, and at next start-up the chkdsk runs normally. After Windows starts up, I re-run the read-only version of chkdsk with the /V switch (this gives you more info on the errors on the drive), and it gives the same error again, so I run chkdsk again at start-up, and on and on ad infinitum. Please help... I have no bad sectors on my drive either...
