messages appearing - what do they mean?

I hesitate to use the Helproom so soon again, but I'm getting two messages - only on PCA Forums it seems - and I don't know what their significance might be.

  1. "Message from Webpage. Stack overflow at line 0"

  2. "Windows Internet Explorer. Stop running the script. A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."

I'm using Windows XP (Home) SP3. Any ideas?

Both are common messages with this site on IE. you can stop #2 by going into options in IE and disabling script debugging. It is most likely caused by one of the adverts having badly written scripts.

Thanks wiz-king. I just wondered what they were, and whether they mattered.

I have to admit that my opinion of the abilities of Advertising Copy Writers has dropped considerably in the last couple of years!

wee eddie Don't be to hard on them, at one time you only had IE and Netscape to cater for, now there are dozens of versions of various browsers.
