Im running windows xp and have an 80 gig hard drive, the hard drive is split into 3 partions (BOOT C, BACKUP D, RECOVER E) I would like to know how to have just one 80 gig partion, preferably BOOT C. If anyone could give me a simple guide as how to do this in lamens terms please. :)

Thanks in advance.

You can do it with Partition magic (but IMHO it's best to have 2 or more partitions in case the os goes and data loss is unavoidable).

Yes, agree with MichelleC. Why? Keep your O/S on C: Your own data files on D: and you shouldn't merge the E: partition because that contains the recovery files if any thing goes wrong. You should still backup your data to an external source though. Like CD or Floppy or Zip.

Agree with Michelle and ennuye, but whatever you do leave Recover E well alone.

One day you may well need it.
