Can anyone help.

I am trying to locate the method of turning off the function that truncates menu lists with a downward pointing double arrow. Sometime ago I disabled this on my machine at home (Win98 SE) and now seem to have forgotten how I did it. I now want to disable this function on my machine at work (XP).

I have been searching through all the helpfiles and I cannot for the life of me locate how to turn this off!

Right click in a blank bit of the icons in any Office application. Select Customise, click on the Options tab and remove the tick from Menus show recently used commands.

or alternatively click on View, Toolbars, Customize etc.

Second suggestion leads no where in 98se.

What do you mean by "Right click in a blank bit of the icons"?
