I have TwinX1024 Corsair XMS 3200 LLPT and am having big computer problems (if anyone can help please see my other post).

Anyway, i plan to run the memory test on each stick of ram and then with the two in the system combined.

My question is how long does it take to test? its been going for over 4 hours now on my first stick of ram i wanted to test and i wanted to make sure that the test was valid. will it display a results when it is done or is it like my experience with Prim95 torture test for CPUs whereby it just seems to keep going until you stop it?

In my experience if you have defective RAM it will start displaying the errors straight away (18 month old £1200 pc). If the RAM's OK it will chunter away for hours and display nothing at all (8 year old third hand P166). Take it as a good sign that your screen isn't filling up with 'failed' like mine did.
