A friend has offered me a new chip (Ram 256mb) which is Kingston KVR100x64C2/256 value ram to enable me to upgrade my memory.

My question is, will this be compatible with my PC? I have a Packard Bell Intel Pentium 111 Genuineintel family 6 model 8 step 3 with 95mb Ram. Ive tried looking in the manual but thats next to useless, if someone could guide me whats required for this upgrade, it will be much appreciated.

Someone please help cos im thick and havent a clue!

Cygnus...

The only description I can find of your module is this:

256MB PC100 DIMM CL2 Your M.board Manual should be able to tell you if this is suitable for your PC.

This is the Kingston Home Page if you want to follow this up.

Just type the Part No. you have into the search box. Hope this helps. Regards,
