Memory on Toshiba Satellite 1640CDT

The above Laptop is about 6 years old and after updating AV I find that memory is insufficient.

Current memory 64MB with 4MB being used for display.

How do I increase the memory?

If you order 128MB of RAM from Crucial (you can check out the exact version for your laptop on its website) you should be able to add it easily.

My daughter has a Toshiba Satellite and upgrading the RAM, IIRC, was pretty straightforward from underneath the case.

They can be expanded up to 192mb i believe, 2 minute job to fit the chip.

Thanks very much, I see I only have to remove two screws and the memory clips into the white socket.
