Memory Testing holds up StartUp for ages - Speed?

  CLONNEN 07:27 24 Aug 04

When I boot up my computer it starts the memory testing. It takes forever to finish because it cycles through it three times. Is there any way to disable it totally or alternative shorten it to just one cycle instead of three.

At the moment I usually press the ESC key to skip the memeory testing. But it is so annoying to have to keep pressing ESC all the time. Please can someone help?

Is there a setting in the BIOS I can change or something?

Hi, Yes, the setting is in the bios. Without looking into it, I think it is enable quick boot. Cheers, Bill
