memory test on startup

i have a packard bell (the green and white one) and i have just instaled windows xp home and it runs a memory test when it starts up and takes a minute which is really annoying me can anyone help??

Along with the PCA Forum, I've had alot of help with my Packard Bell, although I've never had your problem.

Memory test can be disabled in bios, your best going to the above forum for specific instructions.
