Memory Speeds?

I have an Acer Aspire 5633 with 1GB of RAM at 533 MHZ. However, when I run CPU-Z it says that while it is 533 MHZ (PC4300), it is only running at 266MHZ (See click here). I had a look in the BIOS by pressing F2 at bootup, but the supervisor settings seem to be unaccessible, I only have User settings. Is there a way I can change the speed or is it supposed to be running at such a slow speed? My Processor is a Core 2 Duo T5500, so it isn't this that is holding it up (I don't think).

Thanks

Jake

Can you get a Motherboard Manual to check for BIOS? as that is where you want to be

  Jake_027 21:57 26 Jan 07

so it only has the manual that came with it, and there's no reference to the BIOS in there, any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Jake

Could it be the FSB is 266 and that is what has been indicated. Not a great expert.

DDR2 533 does have a 266MHz clock speed.

My DDR3200 clocks at 200MHz

This gives some info, there is a lot more around.

PC4300 ddr2 533 runs with a clock speed of 266Mhz. So all is well.
