Hi all. Ive just upgraded my memory from
2x 512meg sticks @ ddr400 (i Gig)
To 2x 1gig sticks @ ddr400 (2 Gig).

Everything seems fine except during bootup
my screen says memory is ddr400
and memory clock is 333??

I`ve updated my bios with success.
In the bios the dram settings are grayed out
so i cant adjust but every thing was ok till i upgraded.

My system is Abit KV80 mobo
amd sempron 34000+
2gig of kingston mem (2x 1gig)
300gig sata hard drive
geforce 6800 graphics
external usb 2.0 harddrive.
creative external sound card.

Im sure the prob is in the bios because
its says FSB @ 200 & dram freq @ 166 where it used to say 200.
Any idears peeps?

Have a look through the motherboard manual for memory compatibility...it may be that the motherboard steps the memory spedd down with large capacity memory modules.

click here if you dont have the manual.

I can't see any limitations in there myself though.

Abit recommennd clearing the CMOS if you have any issues relating to the memory...so tht is worth a try.
