Memory Query

I have an Epox 8RGAN M.Board with 512MB DDR PC2700 RAM. I want to add another 512MB, do I have to get the same speed (PC2700) or can I go for a higher one & will it make any difference?

you can get fast one, but not much point becauase bot modules will run at lower speed.

As TomJerry said, the faster memory SHOULD work, but there have been instances on this forum where mixing memory speed has given problems. It all really depends on how good the motherboard is at memory management. If you buy your memory from Crucial click here using their memory selector, they guarantee it will work in your computer, and will refund your money if it doesn't. They also have a very helpful support team who will answer any queries you have.

Will work fine. But if you are intending to overclock, it will cause problems.
