Memory not recognised

I have a Gigabyte 7ZXE motherboard carrying an AMD Duron 1.2Ghz processor. I have installed two sticks of 128Mb SDRAM and one 256Mb SDRAM. The problem is, after checking to see if they are seated properly, which they seem to be, is the 256Mb is not recognised. I tried all of the other ram in a similar computer setup and they all register there, but not on the one I want them on. Can anyone please help? Thank you for your time,

It could be a faulty memory slot causing the problem, alythman. Try one module at a time to check if the slots are okay. Try the 256 module in the slot that the 128 module is in at the moment. If it turns out that both slots seem to be okay, put the 256 module in slot 1 and the 128 module in slot 2.
