Memory - detect type?

I have just taken delivery of a new computer system and having connected it all up, I have established that all the components are as described on the order specification - with one exception: can anyone tell me how I can determine that the system includes 1024Mb DDR PC2700 RAM? (I can see that there are 1024Mb but how can I tell if it is the quoted-for DDR PC2700 Type?)

Try using Aida32 click here it gives comprehensive information on sytem specifications and componants, including RAM.

I downloaded and tried aida, but it only says how much memory is installed, it doesn't tell you anything about the memory modules. Neither does Belarc Advisor, which is often recommended on this forum.

If I remember rightly SiSoft Sandra is the product that you need. Latest shareware version is a 5Mbyte download. You should be able to find something older and smaller, possibly freeware. I got it of a Magazine cover disk.
