Memory Compatibility

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at upgrading a PC for a Friend. Initially thought he needed a new Graphics Card but my current thinking is that he probably just needs more memory.

System Details :

Motherboard : ASUS A7V400-MX
System Currently has 256Mb of DDR PC3200 (200Mhz) RAM

I have an HP-Pavilion System which has

2 * 512Mb of DDR PC3200 (200Mhz)

Can I simply take the memory from the HP system to test my theory.

Thanks in advance, Mike

Yes, same type of RAM so that should not be a problem.
