256mb times two (100 mhz, PC 2700 DDR)sticks,what to increase
(buy 1 times 1gb, to try)

been to two places to buy, both with different advice !!
one says PC3200 400mhz will fit

the other says "its very old technology, the memory is exspensive- you better off looking on the internet"????

DILEMMA ?????????????????

Ok upgraded to 1.25 gb
Integral 1gb Pc3200 400mhz (184 pin)
works fine.

PC World enginnner told we its suitable for all (its printed on the label)

probaly not the best place to buy it (PCW) but hey ho

Its best to put memory modules in as pairs. So if you want to go to 1gig then two 512 mb is the best way. If you can afford it go with two 1gig modules. Lets the computer run a bit easier when on demanding programs.
