Hey there,

I want to upgrade my motherboard memory to 1GB or higher from my current 512MB. I'm pretty sure 1GB will suffice at the moment.

Anyway, i'm kinda unsure if the memory i want will work. Here's my motherboard details:

Motherboard Name MSI MS-6533EG (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 2 DIMM, Audio, Video)
Motherboard ID 01/13/2003-SiS-651-6A6IXM4FC-00

The memory i have in just now is (strangely) one stick of PC2100 and another of PC3200:

DIMM1: Nanya M2U25H64DS8HB0G-75 256 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (2.5-3-3-6 @ 133 MHz) (2.0-2-2-5 @ 100 MHz)

DIMM2: Nanya M2U25664DS88B3G-5T 256 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-2-2-6 @ 133 MHz)

Hoping to buy two sticks of PC3200 as i understand this is faster. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm guessing that PC3200 with 400Mhz wouldn't work?

Could anyone advise me? Cheers.

click here should tell you what you require.

It was bought in comet, made by someone called IT Works.

Pc 3200 DDR 400 is compatible with your motherboard.

If in doubt then check click here and use the crucial memory tool.

You should have input Micro-Star motherboard type not system.:0)
