Was wondeering if this would work: I have 2 PC's both with 128meg ram. One is running 100mhz, the other 133mhz.

I am going to upgrade the PC running 133 mhz, if I stick the 128 133mhz stick in the 100mhz machine will it work ( i.e any chance that it would be compatible)

The hardware of both machines is identical, apart from the processor and ram speed.

Thanks in advnace.

Should work at the speed of the lowest factor.

Only snag now is that most machines use DDR not SDR. Assuming your RAM to be all SDRAM it is worth a try.

Thanks for the quick response, I will give it a try ( both PC's are SDR). Worth knowing there is a chance before I start unplugging and opening the case.

yes it will run as 100mhz...drop to the lowest ram speed.
