how would i know if the extra memory I installed on my pc is working correct

  anskyber 17:42 11 Feb 07

Go to the start menu and right click the my computer button it should show up there.

Right click my computer and choose properties - does it show up there? If yes, then you know it is recognised.

As long as you are not getting any errors in general use, it should be working ok.

Are you having any problems?

"i already had 512mb and have added 512mb but it shows 960mb".

That suggests that 64MB is being used by on-board graphics.

Looks like everything is ok then.

  VoG II 17:55 11 Feb 07

Yes - but you won't notice any difference with another 64MB!
