Mega problems after IE 7 download

  Simmpy 09:41 05 Dec 06

I downloaded Internet Explorer 7. Now when I try to access Google or other search engines I get the message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" I have attempted to go back to previous restore points and get the message "Couldn't restore due to no changes being made" Which of course is not the case. I can get to this site by clicking a shortcut for the BBC home page and then typing the PC advisor address into the web bar. How do I get rid of IE 7 and get back to normality?

Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Windows Internet Explorer 7.

You should keep IE 7 but now need to look for why its not accessing search engines.

First question is it accessing any web sites?

Thanks folks, solved it. There was a conflict with an add on (Lost Goggles) disabled that and all is well!
