I'm trying to get to grips with a new PC
On the Task bar is an icon for safely removing
gear. This asks if I want to safely remove WD50-------SCSI Disk Device. I have nothing attached in any ports and I dont know what this SCSI device is
Help would be appreciated.

Does the MD8830 have the docking port for the Medion external hard drive. If so, I wonder whether this is the device referred to on the task bar?

If you have things like USB thumb drives etc, it is used to ensure the computer doesn't try to access it if you want to remove it.

It could otherwise become corrupt if it's pulled out without safely remove being operated.

It just says Disk device ddrives C and D
I'm panicking to wonder why anyone should remove the main drive??

AH !! Severn bore the penny has dropped.
I've only had the machine 24 hoursm (my excuse )
But I think your correct as It does have the docking port although its as purchased with nothing attached to it.
