Medion 160gb Ext. USB.2 HDD - ME not recognising:(

Any ideas clever peeps?

It works fine under XP, however on my PC with ME installed, it cannot see the drive listed, but it is detailed under Device Manager as USB storage device ans is listed as being a device which is working properly.

Do I need specific ME drivers for this? They don't appear to be on the installation CD :(

Could be it just needs to be partitioned and formated under Win ME.

Could it be to do with NTFS and FAT32? I have ME on the C-Drive (FAT32) and XP on the D-Drive (NTFS). Whilst XP can see the C-Drive because it can read both systems, ME cannot, naturally enough, see the D-Drive because it can only read FAT32. Just a thought, probably away down the wrong track.
