Media player opening on start up

The last couple of times I've started up XP, Media Player has popped up and started playing an set of tracks I was listening to a couple of days ago! The weird thing is, it also happens in my wife's profile, with the same set of tracks - goodness knows how it's happened, but how do I stop it? I've checked the Start Up folder from the start menu, but it's empty...

Have a look at msconfig - it may be in there, under the startup tab.

go to start, run and type msconfig

Thanks! Well, there wasn't a listing for Media Player in there... but there was one for a playlist editor I recently installed.
I've unchecked that, so hopefully that will sort it!
