Media Player 9 won't play audio CDs

Running XP Pro and have Audigy soundcard with XP driver from Creative site.

Music Applications work well (Cubase VST, Sound Forge) and I can play DVDs on Media Player(with sound and vision) but when I try an audio CD I get:

'Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does not exist at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is offline.'

Any ideas please?

Nelville, I don't know whether this will work but have you tried opening media player, click Tools, Options, File Types Tab. Check that Play CD Music is checked. This might work.
