Hi,

I am having troubke when it comes to listening to audio clips or watching videos in my Firefox browser.

I am told to 'download plugin', yet receive an 'unknown' entity when I try and do so through the directed 'Manual Install'.

This is getting to be very frustrating and I was hoping someone would be able to help resolve this problem.

Many thanks in advance,

Sam

Do you have the latest flash for FF click here

Yeah, that was one of the first things I checked - but still no media...

To be on the safe side, I downloaded it and installed it, but sadly it is still the same.

Something else to try is to check for missing or broken codecs click here

I have had the K-Lite codec Full Pack for a while now, but I thought, once again to be on the safe side, I would download it and try again, just in case any problems had occured since the last installation.

This seems to have solved the problem - you just cannot trust codec's these days ;-)

Thanks ever so much,

Sam

There have been new versions of the K-Lite codec packs in recent days.

Ahh, that may well have helped solve the problem then.

As you can probably tell, I don't know the exact reasoning behind this, but so far, the problem seems to have been solved following the re-installation of the codecs.
