Having lost them a couple of years ago, I vaugely remember that you could download the, but I cannot remember where.
I've searched Microsoft to no avail.
can anyone advise please.
I dont have a disc to retrieve them from.

Try typing Freecell in Google there's a lot of info there. Hope it helps.

Try running the 98 DC. You wont install another copy of Windows on top of the old, but you will possible replace missing files. Much better try this free program, scroll down the page for the free copy. It has sound effects, and you can also play Double Klondike which is Solitaire with two packs. click here

Also try this click here This a free minsweeper with sound effects

As long as you have the Windows 98 cd you can reinstall the games very easily.

Go to Control Panel and then select the Add/Remove Programs button.
Select the Windows setup tab and then find where the games are listed.

You can then install the games straight from the cd.

Alternatively you can use the Windows Update site and they should be listed (they always are when I go there, even though I have the games installed.)
