When i log onto windows xp professional i get an error message that say

"windows cannot find mcafee32.exe"

There is more text on the error message, but i feel this may be insignifficant.

What does this mean and how can i sort this problem out?

I am using AVG free and spybot.

Any suggestions

Did AVG recently pick up and delete a trojan by that name? Look in the virus vault or Test Results. If so, you just need to go to Start Menu/Run, type msconfig , click the Startup tab, find and uncheck the mcafee32.exe entry - if it's path points to windows\system32\mcafee32.exe that's 99.9% certain to have been a bad'un.

Start Menu/Run, type msconfig , Startup is the last tab. Failing that disable the entry with this click here
