How can I disable the McAfee Security Screen splash screen everytime I bootup please.

Have tried under settings etc but cannot find the answer

It involves editing the registry - if you're not comfortable with that then leave well alone.

Start, Run, type

regedit

and click OK.

Navigate down to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Network Associates\TVD\Shared Components\On Access Scanner\Vshield\System Scan\General

Double click bSkipSplash

Change the value to 1 click OK then X to exit the registry editor.

Thanks VoG. I am happy to go in the reg for simple things and have followed your list but cannot find Network Assoc.
Where am I going wrong please ?

I might be too late here, but you dont have to touch the registry.

Open Mcafee > Updates > Configure > Advanced > Untick "Display Mcafee Splash Screen".
