hey all,

i would just like to say that McAfee is quite bad. I'm not sure if other people have the same problems as below, but let me know if you do.

both at work and at home, virus's have gotten past McAfee, and into the systems. the home virus suceeded in deleting all my DLL files and the work virus messed up our pop3. i'm really fed up with it, and am looking for a new anti-virus programme for home. any suggestions? thanks in advance

JA

an antivirus is only any use if its kept up to date and run regularly.

i use the free avg antivirus and its as good as any.

Agree with huggy71, Always keep your anitivirus up to date if you want the maximum protection.

I use AVG and have never had problems.

think before ya click? if you dont know who sent the attachment or where not expecting it.

better to ask the person first.

save the attachment to a floppy and scan it before opening it.

disable the preview pane in outlook express also.

Just bought Norton antivirus 2003 off the Internet site where it's cheaper to download - suggest you'll need broadband access though. This does automatic updates - brilliant as I don't need to worry about manual updating
