mc afee site advisor

i recently noticed above has stopped working so i went to the web page of mcafee which said i had the up to date one but gave me the reinstall anyway option which i tried to use and when i get to 'run' stage it warns me it may be corrupt or have a virus and will not run, any ideas please?

There are different versions of McAfee Site Advisor for IE and Firefox (and others).

If you download from the McAfee website, it will download the appropriate version for your browser.

If you have both FF and IE, if you download them separately they will be correct.

I think McAfee must be having problems as mine's not working on FF or IE6 and attempts to get to siteadvisor.com get a 504 Gateway Timeout .
