I have disconnected my Maxtor OneTouch (in error!) by using the "safely remove hardware" icon and now the software will not recongnise the drive. It is being recognised in Explorer. Any ideas?

What software will not recognise it?

Have you tried rebooting the PC with the drive unattached and then connect it up again?

I have a Maxtor One Touch and frequently find that it gives errors and is not properly recognised after a re-boot. My solution is to unplug the Maxtor and then re-power it up.

Thanks both - I forgot the old "switch it off and on again!
