Max Net Shield ?

I have just tried out A squared for the first time and all that it has come up with is a few traces of Max Net Shield.
I have googled for this and it would appear to be some form of anti spyware/adaware software. I do not know where it has come from and none of my other antispyware progs have highlighted it - so is there something sinister about it? I have quarantined all instances of it and since doing so Firefox seems to be loading very much faster than it was.
Anyone got any info on this?

A squared is probably detecting it as a rogue if you have deleted it and your PC is running better, its testament to the prog that most people on here hold in high regard, use it myself, can't fault it..
