Massenger for networks

Hi all

I have two machine in my home. One has Windows XP Pro & the other one has installed Windows 98. Both are sharing files printers & internet by using net work adapters. But I don't know how can i send a massege to the other computer or chat with the others who ever connected to the network?? Pls help if someone knows.

For simple messaging you could try 'Stickies'

We used this at a place where I worked to ping quick messages to individuals or a group. It's only a small programme but quite handy as a messanger or as stickies on a desktop.

Thanks again to VoG & slowhand_1000. I went to microsoft website.But net meeing was not available. I'm using XP & Win 98. I don't know whther I could find this from windows setup. (Add & remove)

Stickies is great!

However Netmeeting is installed via the following...

Go to add/remove programs > Internet Tools > Netmeeting, insert XP disc.

Windows XP already has netmeeting.

Click Start, Run, Type:


Click OK.

Thanks so much for Gaz 25 & powerless. I used "conf" command & installed netmeeting without au hazzle. There are two computers connected to my computer using a network card; pls could u tell me how can i send a massege to the other computer by using net meeting??
