I think I need a mass storage device to transfer my documents, photos etc., so I can format my computer and reload the original settings. Are there good ones and bad ones to be had ?. Thank you in advance for your advice. Cheers

How much data are we talking here a rough guesstimate will be fine as this could cost you 69p or £60 depending on the amount and the format.

I have quite a lot to backup, I was thinking to pay about £60-70 ?, hopefully one that will be easy to use, as I am older and not totally computer literate. Thanks

I got a Western Digital Mybook 250GB external usb hard drive and Acronis True Image 10 software from Amazon.co.uk for £70. I think the hard drive has fallen in price since I bought it.

I have been using it to store backups for a while now and find it easy to use. I'm sure it would be ideal for what you describe.

Help again !!!, I have looked at Freecom 500, WD My Book 500 and Seagate 800. I am leaning towards the Freecom, but your expert advice would be great. Thanks.

oops, that should be Seagate 500.
