Mapped Network Drive Problem.

Hi all, after much investigation into a problem with a laptop taking a *long* time to logon we have determined that the problem lies with mapped network drives...

If a mapped drive exists and the wireless connection is turned on then the problem begins.

However, disabling the wireless or removing the mapped drives and the logon happens within 30-40 seconds (still not brilliant but better)

This is true weather the machine is logging on to the domain or local machine and weather it be on the local network or over our VPN connection.

Does anybody have any idea what is causing this behavior? Even better would be a resolution to the problem :)

Incidently this is the only machine out of 18 that does it. It is running Windows XP Pro (we have a mix of XP and Vista) with SP3 and all the latest updates.
