2.0.21012 - updated today automatically using the pro version. Check if you're using the free one.

Thanks; The free one update did not offer a new version - still 2.1.1004

john bunyan, ok, will check on the laptop. Thanks. The version number should be, forgot the decimal point. Why have such stupid numbers for program updates I wonder?

john bunyan, have a look here.

Jock1e, thanks, will see what happens on the laptop.

I'm a bit confused. I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Premium) I paid for a licence. But going by the number this is the free version.

Can anyone please advise, if I have the premium version, what version number should my software show.

When I updated from the free version the update installed a trial version of full, with the auto update etc. I then unticked the real time protection and it reverted to the free version with the same number but not real tine protection.

Jock1e , good link. MBAM uses about 50% of CPU on average running the default scan on desktop and hammers the single core old CPU on the laptop.

john bunyan, yes I had to do the same on the laptop. Will let the trial run next time though, as it will revert to the free version when it ends. Might as well. The link to revert to free is on the Dashboard.
