Friends computer infected by program reporting virus attacks and connecting to website to try and get you to purchase software. 3 different icons that appear on desktop point to same link Nothing seems to remove them and multiple IE screens start up and computer starts running at 100% cpu. Norton has not detected anything.

Norton not detected anything? When did you or Norton update. When did you pay Norton security more money for PC security? Always thought Norton had their customers security foremost. If you are up to date with your payments then enmil Norton and ask what is going on? Let us all know.

Wonder if this still works; click here

Not the point. rocha is paying Norton for security and appears to not be working. Am I right rocha?

Norton sub current but assume infection diguised as normal prog. Thanks brundle, will try that tomorrow.

If payment current then I strongly suggest you contact Norton with the problem. It will help Norton and they will help you. Otherwise there is no point paying for protection.

Norton and any other programme will not stop programmes that are inadvertently run by the user. Try Spyware terminator click here a free programme that will get rid of your may have to use do 2/3 deep scans and use A-squared as well click here which is also free. SpTer usually clears every computer that I have to see.

Hi If spyware terminator does not work download SAS/ Superantispyware,

First Delete All Temp Internet Files and All Cookies,

Download this Free Antispyware {Superantispyware} Before using the Antispyware for the first time check for any updates.

click here

Then restart your computer in safe mode that;s repeat pressing of the F8 key when the computer is restarting,

Do a full scan with SAS {it will take some time}
