Making tracks on CDs

Could anybody tell me the name of some software which would allow me to cut tracks in music files whilst hearing the music play please? I wish to download the old music I have put on my computer onto CD and possibly MP3, but I would like to listen as well as see the wave pattern on an oscilloscope while cutting the tracks.

They is, but you have to pay for most of the software of this nature. I remember cooledit2000 being the name of one program that is what your after.

nero has a program called nero wave editor, which i think can do this, however i stopped using nero a while ago and may be very wrong, put the question to the forum, that very helpful bunch that they are
