Makers of Graphics Cards

I am looking to buy a Radeon 9600 pro graphics card and have checked lots of sites on the net. I am totally confused by all the different makers apparently producing the same card but at vastly varying prices. Manufactures like Connect 3D, Abit and even Dabs own seem to be quite cheap compared with some of the others.
Can anyone tell me please are there any to stay clear of or any I should go for.
Also is the Abit R9600 a pro version or something slower.

Thanks in advance.

Usually it's the software, games etc that are included that vary the price as the cards are made to a reference design. Make sure it says retail box in the ad. Some cards have tv-out and dvi connectors, also the amount of memory on the card, one's with 256 are more expensive.

Thanks citadel.
So if a card is advertised as a 'pro' will one makers card be as good as the next?
