Make this folder private.

If I right click on the 'My Documents folder' in Windows XP home edition there is a facility for making this folder private. If I tick this box will I be asked to input a password or what? I have not got any password set up on my computer for logging on etc.

If you machine has an open setup with just one user then no this will make no difference. making it private will stop other users having access but you only have one user so everyone using that account will be able to access the folder.

If you want to hide any personal folders really well go to click here they have a program called Hide Folders XP, it is not free but if you want to hide bank details & other private files it is brilliant. Nobody will know they even exist.
