I have just bought a Sat Nav (Mio C250). It comes with a usb lead to charge it via a PC. What i would like to do though is charge it through the mains. I have seen usb mains adaptors on ebay but they seem to be designed for iPods, although some say any usb device will charge. Does anyone know if one of these adaptors would work for me? I don't want to risk damaging my new toy!

I use a 4 port, powered USB hub to charge my wife's MP3 player. I think that you can get them for about £10 (mine was a present). It doesn't have to be connected to a computer.

The proper Mio mini USB battery charger is mentioned here:

This is a main type battery charger; the USB cable I assume is for data transfer.
