I have just encountered a popup when previewing certain e-mails using Outlook Express on WinXP Pro (SP 1&2 & up2date with all updates). It looks like a n XP type window with a picture of two keys at the top (indicating security I presume) and the words: Connect To in the title bar. In the window are two text entry boxes, the first with a face icon in the text box and a drop down menu with the wifes e-mail address in the list to enter a user name. The second text box says to enter a password. A box to tick to save your password and the usual OK and Cancel buttons. If you click on cancel and delete the e-mail that seemed to make it appear, I got another two on further e-mails I previewed further down the list of usual SPAM I get.

Does anyone know if this is as it looks something to do with the OS or is it an e-mail popup? If the latter how do I stop them please?

strikes me it is a pass to either some sort of porn site or dialler network, update anr run the usual security fixes posted regularly on here as you may have some spyware sending out your details,
on that point what av/firewall set up do you have?

I have AVG and ZoneAlarm, both free versions, both up to date and fully active.
