I've been asked to register a domain name which includes a 'U' as in short for'you' (as in phones4U) Does it matter if I register u or U? Or will I have to get both options? Many thanks..

No difference. e-mail addresses and domain names can be typed in upper and / or lower.

i.e.

www . PCaDviSoR . co . UK

www . pcadvisor . co . uk

and

www . PCADVISOR . CO . UK

are the same

The only thing that matters is the spelling - not the case.

Many people state that their e-mail address is "all lower case" but if makes no difference.

The only time it matters is in a forum when UPPER CASE is considered SHOUTING and RUDE!!!!

Thanks for that forum member - I'd already bought the domain this afternoon after previous post but recall FE mentioning something about lower case file names to me a while back. Will read this thoroughly and make sure I do the right thing.
