Lotus 123 on Vista

I am a confirmed Lotus 123 user and prefer not to switch to Excel for all sorts of reasons.

Will Lotus 123 (Millennium edition) work on Vista?

From IBM (Smartsuite owners):

"While no major compatibility issues have been reported when running SmartSuite or Organizer on the Vista 32-bit (x86) version, these applications are not supported by IBM/Lotus Product Development on the Vista platform"

Now I have read of a few minor issues, but I think it was with Approach. There may be slight issues with 123, but from what I've found out, nothing too drastic.

You certainly shouldn't break anything by installing and trying it.

Is 123 still alive? Is there hope that it might be issued in a new edition?

Thank you for the previous answer.

I think development may have stopped on Smartsuite. There are updates up to version 9.8 available on the IBM site by the look of it.

But it appears that in the war of premium office suites, Smartsuite was crushed by the overpriced MS Office. And the surge of openoffice can't have helped either I suppose.
