lost operating system

I recently restored my PC and put a fresh copy of vista on. Everythings been running fine until recently when on start up it cant find the operating system. Putting the vista disc in and asking it carry out the start up rescue solves the problem. Something on my PC is deleting a file that vista requires to start. Ive nothing major on the system, my daughter uses messinger and ive got adobe, avg, gom player i have not got the updates on as my computer blows a wobbly and crashes with blue screen when they are loaded. Any clues out there? Thanks.

according to the Vista disk you have, it will probably be best to format the hard drive and start with a cleared disk and new system.
But wait.

Some further advice may be available from those who know about Vista and its peccadillo's of which there are many - or so I am informed.
