Lost Medion Sound Card

I lost everything on my Medion PC which I bought from Aldi's in the UK.Last year

I put the rescue disc and refomatted win xp. But I have lost my sound card, I don't know what it is bundled with PC. If I disconnect sound card & reconnect will it recognise new harware etc and load again.

Or do I look for another SC something that I can recognise, and have drivers etc, I don't really want to buy another asthe one I have lost was good enough for me

try remove in device manager and reboot, pc should then find it again.

If you have the drivers, reinstall these first and then let Windows find new hardware and reinstall the card.

By the way, are you sure it was a soundcard and not onboard sound?

If, by any chance, this is the case, you may have to enable onboard again in the Bios.

I have been into device manager, and all it will let me do is under (Legacy Audio Drivers)is =
update driver
scan for harware changes
and no delete, I have tried all 3 with no sucess,

By the way, are you sure it was a soundcard and not onboard sound?

How do I know the difference?
