lost log file for a search engine; where to look?

  p;3 01:07 15 Nov 06

windows xp sp2 ; I have a problem with a search engine called copernic, and I have had to create a log file of indexing events to send to whoever; I have created the log file but am not sure where within xp I should try to locate it ; it did not seem to be located in my documents and I have wondered if XP has a specific place it might save such things?

(NB it is NOT an HJT log )

might anyone have any ideas where I might try to locate the log?

What happens if I enable logging in the advanced options?

It allows CDS 2 to log its own activity in a local file. This file is located in your index folder. The contents of this log file can help our Technical Support Team to provide better support when needed.

When searching for it, are you showing hidden files?

I did manage to find it after rummaging around in the documents folder and bits and pieces and mailed it to myself to send off to them ; but lo and behold, could not find it when I tried to refind it at work on the system; has to be sods law really
